Physician and Surgeon, Correctional Facility Position

We are seeking a skilled Physician and Surgeon to join our team at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, CA. As a Physician and Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing medical care to inmates and ensuring their health and well-being.
Job Summary:The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and family practice, with experience working in a correctional facility setting. You will be responsible for conducting medical evaluations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and providing preventative care to inmates. You will also be required to maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:- Conduct medical evaluations and diagnose illnesses
- Provide preventative care to inmates
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the health and well-being of inmates
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license in the state of California
- Board certification in internal medicine or family practice
- Experience working in a correctional facility setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
