We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at Munson Healthcare Occupational Health. This is a fast-paced and fun environment where you can contribute to a healthcare environment committed to working directly with employers to keep employees safe and healthy on the job.
About the RoleThis position offers an exceptional opportunity to work with a variety of work-related injuries, provide surveillance testing, and employment physicals to ensure the health of employees across the nation. As a Medical Assistant, you will assist in patient assessments and intake procedures, perform clinical tasks, and engage in patient education.
Responsibilities- Assist in patient assessments and intake procedures, documenting information obtained.
- Perform clinical tasks, including blood draws, injections, PFT, and audiometric testing.
- Become certified to perform DOT drug screen and breath alcohol testing.
- Administer vaccinations and TB skin tests.
- Engage in patient education and promote health awareness.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and reporting results.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a credentialed Medical Assistant with a high school graduate or GED equivalent. BLS certification is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained. If you have one year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting, you will be considered for this position.
