Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at LabCorp. As a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise laboratory personnel and ensure that all shifts are properly staffed
  • Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate assay coverage
  • Research and resolve production errors and escalate when necessary
  • Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained through Quality Control
  • Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents
  • Evaluate new process improvements and make recommendations
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback
  • Perform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency in technical operations
  • Ensure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory
  • Previous supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferred
  • ASCP or AMT certification is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations
  • Understanding of laboratory operations and policies and procedures
  • Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
