Tug Master

As a Tug Master with Centerline Logistics Corporation, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of barges and cargo while maintaining the safety of the vessel, crew, and cargo. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Safety Management: Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Company policies and regulations, including conducting regular safety inspections and monitoring tug/barge maintenance activities.
• Crew Management: Direct and oversee crew members in their duties, assign tasks, and evaluate performance.
• Administrative Tasks: Prepare and update vessel work lists and maintenance schedules, check and approve requisitions and work orders, and ensure efficient use of supplies.

• Qualifications: Must possess a valid TWIC, first aid certificate, CPR training, HAZWOPER certificate, and GMDSS operator endorsement.
• Licensing: Valid Coast Guard license with a minimum Master 200 GT near Coastal endorsement, and a Master of Towing near Coastal endorsement.
• Experience: Five years of experience towing barges as Master, Coastwise on the US East Coast, Gulf of Mexico.

• Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks such as pulling heavy lines/hoses, lifting, carrying heavy items, climbing onto barges, and working in confined quarters.
• Environmental Factors: Exposure to all weather conditions, including rain, ice, snow, heat, wind, and heavy seas.
