Respiratory Therapist PRN

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.
Responsibilities- Assemble and clean all patient care equipment.
- Assist with orienting and training new employees and students.
- Perform Arterial Blood Gases.
- Perform bedside Spirometry, and adhere to respiratory care protocols.
- Responsible for accurate department charting.
- Responsible for all Emergency Calls.
- Set up and administer Aerosol or oxygen therapy.
- Set up and administer: IPPB, NEB, Breathing EX., CPT.
- Set up and maintain Ventilator.
- Transport patient in wheelchair or stretcher and educate Rehab patients when necessary.
- Requires RRT certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Must be licensed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- NRP certification required for RRT assigned to Nursery.
- New Hires must obtain ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 6 months of hire date.
- Must be able to work nights as this is a PRN position for night shift.
