Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and Negotiating Complex Agreements: You will be responsible for structuring, drafting, redlining, and negotiating complex terms and agreements, including cloud, security, data processing, software license, and professional services agreements, in support of SAP's cloud and software business.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: You will work closely with internal Sales, Pricing, Revenue Recognition, and Commercial Business Partner deal support teams during the drafting and negotiation process.
  • Escalation Point for Commercial Business Partners and Sales Teams: You will serve as an escalation point for Commercial Business Partners and Sales Teams for legal and contracting issues.
  • Supporting Corporate Business Goals: You will support SAP's corporate business goals and objectives by serving as a true business partner, balancing legal risks appropriately against the commercial objectives.
  • Identifying Contractual Risks: You will identify contractual risks and suggest alternatives that lead to optimal solutions, working cross-functionally with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure that contractual terms are compliant with legal, regulatory, and company policies and risk preferences.
  • Providing Legal Counsel: You will provide legal counsel to sales teams, assisting in handling various field and corporate legal matters, including but not limited to, privacy, security, intellectual property, template and playbook management, and dispute resolution.
Requirements
  • Education: Juris Doctor - Graduation from A.B.A. accredited law school
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of relevant legal experience in the cloud and technology sector
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills, with the ability to integrate legal, business, technical, and practical analysis
  • Location: Located near the SAP offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Newtown Square, PA, or New York City
