Arborist Crew Leader

As a Foreman - Crew Leader Arborist, you will lead a tight-knit crew and create a positive team environment. You will interpret tree trimming, removal, and spraying orders, plan daily work, and assign tasks based on individual knowledge and skills. You will also perform line clearing and tree trimming duties, climb trees, and operate aerial lifts.

• Lead a crew of arborists and ensure a safe and productive work environment
• Interpret and execute tree trimming and removal orders
• Plan and layout daily work for the crew
• Assign tasks based on individual knowledge and skills
• Perform line clearing and tree trimming duties
• Climb trees and operate aerial lifts
• Prepare and maintain equipment and tools
• Remove limbs and brush, and dispose of debris
• Mix and apply spray chemicals
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices

• Two years or more experience working as a Trimmer/Climber, working around utility lines
• Ability to lead people and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and arboriculture techniques
• Experience in tree climbing, knot tying, and PPE
• Understanding of drawings and symbols representing types of lines, voltage, and line equipment
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and operating equipment
• Willingness to obtain specialized training and certifications
