About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. As a key member of our Fire Protection Engineering Organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with fire protection regulations and standards within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fire hazard analyses and NFPA/ICC code reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Specify technical aspects of fire protection systems to ensure Life Safety compliance.
  • Perform building walkdowns to assess compliance with Department of Energy standards.
  • Mentor and provide direction to less senior engineers within the organization.
  • Scope technical tasks and develop creative solutions to assigned problems.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge of fire protection engineering principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of standard engineering/scientific practices and applications.
