Physician (Chief Hematology-Oncology)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician to serve as the Chief of the Hematology-Oncology Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Hematology-Oncology Section, providing clinical care, and overseeing the development of the service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Hematology-Oncology Section, providing clinical care and overseeing the development of the service.
- Collaborate with other physicians to ensure proper education of medical students and residents.
- Participate in strategic planning for the Medicine Service, attending and providing input to outpatient clinic management and other committees and councils as needed.
- Provide timely and courteous service to all Veterans seeking care.
- Support VHA and all Medicine Service directives, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology-Oncology.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Experience in a leadership role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical and administrative skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
