Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations of each patient, establishing a plan of care and treatment goals that meet their unique needs.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans that address the patient's specific speech and language needs, evaluating outcomes and making adjustments as necessary.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage Caseload: Manage a caseload of patients, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely completion of assessments, treatment plans, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay Current with Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments in speech therapy, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and advance clinical excellence.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in speech therapy, preferably in an acute hospital or home health care setting.
