Job Summary
The Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Perioperative Services department, this individual will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the efficient delivery of nursing care in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of Perioperative Services to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate and manage the daily activities of the operating room, including scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on perioperative procedures and protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state licensure or eligibility to do so.
- CPR certification and AORN Certification preferred.
- ACLS or PALS certification optional.
