Overview

At Johnston-Willis Hospital, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain high-quality CT images of patients while adhering to established scanning protocols and adjusting as necessary.
  • Ensure radiation safety guidelines are followed for patients and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Operate the CT scanner safely and competently, performing all necessary computer operations, including Meditech.
  • Verify proper charges and referring physicians' orders.
  • Provide patient care in a professional and courteous manner, preparing examination rooms for CT scans and/or invasive procedures.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies, and providing all types of care to patients.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete the verification process in PACS.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients according to HIPAA Policy and Procedure.
  • Complete and maintain personal educational requirements.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) - CT Technology Certification (required within 6 months of hire).
  • Vocational School Graduate.
