Job Summary:

As a Development Coach at Vail Resorts, you will play a key role in providing high-quality ski instruction and coaching to athletes of all ages and skill levels. Your expertise in alpine and freestyle skiing will be essential in helping our guests achieve their skiing goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional ski instruction and coaching to groups and individuals, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest and personal safety on varied terrain at high altitudes, with varying winter weather conditions.
  • Clearly communicate instructions and assist athletes during training sessions and at competitions.
  • Supervise athletes in training at all times, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Assist in operational responsibilities of competition service and related SRS programs.
Requirements:
  • PSIA/AASI and/or USSA/FIS certification recommended.
  • High School or Equivalent Education.
  • Attend Ski and Ride training sessions.
  • Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and browser applications.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather in a high-alpine environment.
  • Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience with teaching, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Experience coaching winter sports athletes of all ages.
  • Previous ski or snowboard coaching experience.
Compensation:

The expected pay range for this position is $27.00 per hour. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
