About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpentry Laborer to join our team at Cornerstone Custom Construction. As a Carpentry Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the construction process, working closely with our experienced carpenters to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measuring and Cutting Materials: Accurately measure and cut building materials as needed to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Structural Assembly: Assemble structures according to specifications and direction provided by lead carpenters.
  • Building Construction: Construct buildings using SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels), ICFs (Insulated Concrete Forms), wood framing, and supporting materials.
  • Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized job site by putting away tools and materials after use, sweeping up, and performing other cleaning tasks as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to read and perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Reading and Following Plans: Ability to read and follow plans and blueprints to ensure accurate construction.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and structures.
  • Tool Operation: Ability to operate saws and other power tools safely and effectively.
  • Hand Tool Skills: Ability to use various hand tools to complete tasks.
