Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing project financials, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting project managers with financial insights and strategy. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our company and contributing to our mission of clean energy transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and review project cost reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to track project expenses and ensure all costs are allocated correctly and within budget.
  • Identify opportunities to benefit from government grants and other incentives to drive increased project economics.
  • Generate regular financial reports for project managers and senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
  • Support due diligence of capital and major projects for acquisition targets.
  • Develop financial forecasts and budgets, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all project-related financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain project accounting records in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and subcontractors regarding project financial matters.
  • Drive professional growth and development by setting and achieving clear objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Promote and embody the company's core values, fostering a culture of alignment and commitment among team members.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the renewable energy space.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Project costing, procurement, and vendor management experience is a benefit.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and project accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
