Exciting Opportunity for a Pediatric PA/NP in a Level III NICU

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric PA or NP to join our team in a full-time position at Waterbury Hospital, working in the Special Care Nursery and Newborn Nursery.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns.

Responsibilities
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and c-sections with resuscitation and stabilization of the newborn as needed
  • Coverage of level III neonatal intensive care unit and well infant nursery
  • Admitting infants to SCN nursery and participating in management of them through daily rounds, procedures
  • Coverage of well babies in Well Baby Nursery for admissions and daily notes
  • Attendance at Pediatric Codes and traumas in the ED
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with prior experience working in a NICU, who holds a current unrestricted license in CT with a DEA license, and has NRP training and PALS certification. The ideal candidate will have experience in UVC/UAC placement, intubation, venous access, and arterial draws.
