The Maintenance Shop Clerk provides critical administrative support to the maintenance function, ensuring the efficient operation of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Assure the availability of parts in a cost-effective manner, maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective maintenance performed on all units.
- Fleet Data Management: Input fleet information into the computerized fleet management system daily, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Vendor Liaison: Act as a point of contact with vendors to order, receive, and ensure payment for goods and services, preparing purchase orders for management approval.
- Parts Management: Receive, tag, stock, and dispense parts to mechanics according to corporate and regional policy and local operating procedures.
- Reporting and Analysis: Produce various productivity and usage reports for management review, analyzing data to identify trends and outliers, and correcting mistakes where appropriate.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures, participating with the team to achieve safety goals and reconciling Dossier financial data to Lawson general ledger.
- Experience: Related experience in a maintenance/trucking industry.
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Skills: 1 year of general office experience or equivalent training, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
