Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accounting Analyst to support the Financial Services Department's operations. This role demands advanced technical skills and decision-making capabilities, including conducting second-level reviews of staff work. The Senior Accounting Analyst will assess existing processes and implement enhancements to boost efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring the accuracy of financial records and processing monthly accounting entries, performing account reconciliations, managing medical and benefit accounting, processing payroll, and undertaking additional projects as needed.
  2. Maintaining the integrity of financial data through precise transaction recording.
  3. Overseeing a diverse range of detailed financial and administrative tasks across multiple projects of varying complexity.
  4. Managing the general ledger by preparing trial balances and reconciling accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Proficient understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement preparation, and payroll processes.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in financial accounting, including knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from all departments within the organization.
  • Experience in public accounting and the healthcare sector is preferred.
