Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Technician to join our Emergency Department team at SouthCoast Health. As a Clinical Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, conducting phlebotomy, EKGs, and minor invasive procedures, as well as providing clerical support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and minor invasive procedures
  • Conduct patient interviews and provide clerical support, including patient registration, data entry, and transcription of orders
  • Collate medical records and perform other clerical duties as assigned
  • Work under the general supervision of the Emergency Department Manager or Designee
Requirements
  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus specialized courses and training
  • One year of related work experience required
  • CPR certification required
  • Certified Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, and Paramedic certification required
  • In lieu of certification, must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing or 1+ years of Emergency Department Technician experience
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
