Electrophysiology Lab Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Lab Technician to join our team at Southcoast Health. As a key member of our cardiology team, you will be responsible for performing diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned cardiology modality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures
  • Obtain pertinent hemodynamic and angiographic information from patients and document all data within the EHR
  • Perform patient education related to the procedure
  • Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • Attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility preferred or graduation from an accredited program in Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist
  • Bachelors degree is preferred
  • 2-3 years of related experience including a minimum of two years clinical cardiac and/or critical care experience is required
  • One years experience as a Scrub Assistant in a cardiac catheterization/EP lab/Structural Heart is required
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required based on location assignment
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required
