Role Overview:


The CT Imaging Specialist collaborates closely with the Chief Technologist, Imaging Manager, Director, and Medical Staff to enhance patient care and streamline workflow by providing support, education, and leadership to the technical team.


This role involves executing CT imaging procedures as per established state and departmental protocols, which encompass a variety of cases including neurological disorders, strokes, oncological assessments, and cardiac services.

Deliver exceptional patient care to all individuals within the medical imaging department. Ensure high-quality imaging and examinations while being attuned to patient needs. Adhere to safety standards in radiation practices. Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a role model for fellow technologists. Act as a clinical resource for unit personnel and uphold current standards of practice within the unit.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate's Degree strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • ARRT(CT), ARRT(N), ARRT(T) or CNMT registry required or State CT registry ARRT(R) with CT training required. If the associate does not hold advanced certification, they must obtain it within 6 months of hire/promotion or completion of the training program. Must possess a current Texas MRT License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
