Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Valet/Shuttle Driver to join our team at 21c Museum Hotels. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service by greeting and assisting arriving guests with luggage, parking their vehicles, and ensuring their overall satisfaction and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and courteous service to guests, including assisting with luggage and parking vehicles.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all guests' identities.
  • Ensure that luggage is stored safely and securely.
  • Assist departing guests by transporting luggage from room to lobby and helping them load their vehicles.
  • Ensure the safety of guests' property by double-checking each vehicle is locked after it is parked.
  • Respond to guest needs by delivering laundry, packages, and amenities in a timely manner.
  • Provide up-to-date hotel information to guests to enhance customer relations.
  • Drive safely and efficiently, and be able to back a vehicle into its parking spot without making contact with other vehicles or the parking stone.
  • Keep a record of all incidents while driving, including accidents or tickets.
  • Handle cash proficiently and maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times.
  • Be knowledgeable about local activities and establishments to answer questions and provide recommendations.
  • Clean lobby areas and entrances, and maintain a clean and attractive facility for guests.
  • Assist other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to drive vehicles, with a preference for manual transmission.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
  • Tactful, courteous, and discreet.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak and understand English.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for all things 21c.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must provide a driving record of 3 points or less upon hire.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
