The University of Minnesota is seeking an experienced leader to serve as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President. As the chief ambassador for the University of Minnesota Foundation, this individual will play a critical role in advancing the organization's mission to connect passion with possibility, inspire generosity, and support greatness at the University of Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Planning and Execution
The CEO and President will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the University's strategic plan, working closely with the Board of Trustees, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and maximize engagement.
Fundraising and DevelopmentThis position will also oversee fundraising efforts, developing and executing strategies to increase revenue and earned income, while cultivating relationships with donors, prospects, and Trustees.
Organizational Leadership and CultureThe CEO and President will lead and manage a team, fostering a culture of excellence, continual improvement, and belonging, ensuring professional development and growth opportunities for staff.
Financial StewardshipOverseeing the financial health of the Foundation, ensuring prudent fiscal management and accountability, working closely with the executive leadership team to develop and adhere to budgets.
Requirements:- An undergraduate (BA/BS) degree is required; an advanced degree would enhance the candidate's qualifications.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles, preferably in higher education or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in fundraising, strategic planning, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Natural leadership style, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Estimated Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience.
