Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Controls Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale life science projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all projects are aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for setup of cost management and earned value systems on each project.
  • Project-level resource management (planned vs. actual, forecast by discipline, etc).
  • Project financial oversight including labor, expense, and sub-consultants.
  • Facilitate EV system through connectivity to discipline leads in progressing deliverable-based % complete.
  • Reporting outputs on budget, forecast, earned value and actuals.
  • Invoice management.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate with project team members, including project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and construction schedules.
  • Utilize construction management software to track project expenses, manage project risks, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Collaborate with the construction estimating team to develop accurate project estimates and ensure that projects are completed within budget.
  • Support project coordination, including ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are in place.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including risk management, quality control, and communication strategies.
  • Manage and resolve project conflicts and issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project controls, with a focus on construction management.
  • Experience in reviewing construction drawings and specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of Primavera P6 to include critical path analysis, WBS development, cost and resource loading, and delay analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of Earned Value Management processes, procedures and reporting.
  • Excellent project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preferred general cost and schedule experience related to Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification (CQV).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team of project managers.
  • Experience with contract administration and negotiation.
  • Preferred Project Management Office (PMO) experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
