Job Responsibilities

As a Special Education Teacher with ProCare Therapy, you will work closely with students, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching and supporting students with emotional disabilities in an elementary school setting
  • Collaborating with general education teachers to develop and implement inclusive lesson plans
  • Conducting assessments and developing IEPs to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Communicating regularly with parents and guardians to ensure student progress and success
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid South Carolina Special Education Teaching licensure
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., special education, educational psychology)
  • Prior experience working with students with emotional disabilities is preferred but not required
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered education
