Job Title: Barista

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Books-A-Million, Inc. in Harrisburg, PA. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and operating our café equipment to prepare coffee, specialty drinks, and baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate café equipment, including blenders, ovens, espresso machines, and cash registers
  • Prepare coffee, specialty drinks, and baked goods to company standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service and greet customers entering the store and café
  • Stock and merchandise the café in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Balance cash drawer and perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Assist the bookstore as needed

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and learn new skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to operate a computer or register

Working Conditions:

The Barista will work in a fast-paced café environment with frequent customer interactions. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
