Cape Fox Shared Services is actively looking for skilled Hearing Conservation Specialists to enhance our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient scheduling and execute auditory assessments, including otoscopy, earmold impressions, and otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing.
- Conduct thorough periodic evaluations and field surveys to ensure effective use of hearing protection and noise reduction strategies.
- Administer hearing assessments in both individual and group sound booths utilizing the DOEHRS-HC system.
- Employ the DOEHRS-HC Manager Module for maintaining, comparing, and reporting data related to hearing readiness and conservation programs.
- Utilize portable audiometers with custom software on tablet PCs for conducting assessments outside traditional booths and seamlessly transfer data to DOEHRS-HC.
- Collaborate with Occupational Health personnel, Unit Hearing Conservation Officers, and supervisors to coordinate hearing conservation initiatives.
- Oversee local hearing conservation programs, ensuring compliance and conducting inspections as necessary.
- Fit active duty personnel with suitable hearing protection devices.
- Ensure the upkeep and calibration of DOEHRS-HC equipment, with daily backups of registry uploads.
- Assist units in preparing for inspections and provide annual educational training for personnel.
- Review after-action reports to identify areas of non-compliance with relevant regulations, particularly DA PAM 40-501, Army Hearing Conservation Program.
- Maintain an up-to-date reporting database to inform commanders about unit readiness and compliance.
- Be available to deliver hearing conservation training and earplug fittings at various locations within the local installation.
