Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Service Technician/Mechanic to join our team. While experience with Volvo vehicles is preferred, we are committed to training the right candidate who demonstrates a strong willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute repairs as specified on repair orders in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose the root cause of malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with the parts department to procure required components.
- Assess vehicles to identify any additional safety or service needs.
- Communicate promptly with the service advisor regarding any additional work required or if repairs cannot be completed as promised.
- Document all work performed accurately.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles when necessary or refer to the test technician.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Volvo vehicles is advantageous, but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Must be a team player with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Familiarity with shop equipment is essential.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be current residents.
