We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Hughes Resources. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal working condition.
- Equipment Repair: Perform minor repairs on machinery and equipment as directed by the maintenance supervisor, replacing worn or defective parts as needed.
- Preventive Maintenance: Follow a scheduled maintenance routine to inspect and service equipment and facilities regularly, identifying and addressing potential issues before they become major problems.
- Facilities Inspection: Conduct routine checks on HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and other facility components to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
- Issue Reporting: Identify and diagnose maintenance issues promptly, reporting them to the maintenance supervisor and assisting in troubleshooting and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the inventory management of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and ordering additional supplies as needed.
- Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Properly handle and store maintenance tools and equipment to prevent damage and loss, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Communication: Provide regular updates on the status of ongoing maintenance tasks to the maintenance supervisor and other relevant team members.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and report safety hazards or unsafe conditions to the maintenance supervisor.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge and Skills: Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot various issues.
- Communication and Teamwork: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical Demands: Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Competitive Pay: Starting at $23-$25/hour.
