Position Summary
This role involves the maintenance and repair of electric, diesel, and gasoline-powered industrial vehicles and equipment. The technician will ensure that all machinery is functioning optimally and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and assess work orders from management to initiate diagnostic procedures.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and mechanical repairs on equipment, following approval from the Service Manager.
  • Document repair details accurately, including model specifications and operational metrics.
  • Inspect safety features and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Lubricate moving components and perform operational tests to confirm adherence to specifications.
  • Submit all documentation, including work orders and time logs, to the Service Dispatcher daily.
  • Provide progress reports to the Service Manager regarding ongoing repairs.
  • Manage workflow within the shop, coordinating with other technicians as needed.
  • Prepare and communicate estimates for repair work to clients.
  • Assist fellow technicians in completing repairs when required.
  • Review and validate work orders throughout the service process until billing is finalized.
  • Organize all documentation related to shop repairs.
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding the status of their equipment repairs.
  • Ensure that all scheduled maintenance tasks are completed on equipment in the shop.
  • Generate and communicate service quotes for fieldwork when necessary.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and service calls.
  • Finalize and approve work orders before invoicing.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Skills and Competencies
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; one year of relevant mechanical experience or training preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic and able to analyze numerical data.
  • Reasoning Skills: Capable of applying logical thinking to solve problems and follow instructions.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license required.
