Job Overview

This position reports directly to the Outpatient Clinic Manager and plays a vital role in supporting multi-skilled activities that enhance patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with examination and treatment procedures under the supervision of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in their medical record.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
  • Certification through American Medical Technologist (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Health career Association (NHA), MedCA, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is necessary.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider is required.
