Role Summary
The MRI Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting MRI scans while ensuring the safety and integrity of the MRI environment for all individuals, including staff and patients. This role involves maintaining sufficient inventory of supplies necessary for performing examinations, as well as clearly explaining the procedures to patients and completing all required departmental documentation.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of one year of experience in a Radiologic Technology role, such as Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, or Ultrasound, is preferred. Candidates must have completed an MRI training program or hold a degree from a 24-month radiologic technology program. Additionally, six months of MRI experience or completion of an MRI didactic program is preferred. Candidates are required to obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT certification within two years of employment.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
