Cybersecurity Expert for Enterprise Microsoft Products

Job Summary:

The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the secure use of Microsoft products at Capital Group. This role involves reviewing infrastructure enhancements and making recommendations to improve security. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of products by providing security requirements, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring of security effectiveness across multiple platforms, including M365.

About the Role:

This is a key position in our team, requiring expertise in creating information security POVs and initial build requirements for new products. You will assess application integration points from a security perspective, provide risk recommendations, and support incident response efforts. Additionally, you will be responsible for researching and evaluating emerging services from Microsoft, as well as contributing to security best practices for the M365 suite of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for tools and product-related technology
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years in Information Technology with at least 5 in Information Security
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft products, including Windows operating systems, M365 applications, and Azure
  • Strong background in security technical engineering and architecture
  • Information Security certifications (CISSP, SANS GIAC, CISA, etc.) are a plus
  • Microsoft security certifications (Azure Security Engineer Associate, Cybersecurity Architect Expert) are desired
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and collaboration between stakeholder teams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to outline security risks to senior leadership
  • Experience managing vendor partnerships
Compensation:

Base salary range: $148,045-$236,872 (Southern California), $121,706-$194,730 (San Antonio), $156,935-$251,096 (New York)

Benefits:

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, you will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, Capital's annual profitability bonus, and a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
