Job Description

As a Process Engineer Lead at Prysmian Group, you will be responsible for demonstrating safety leadership and advancing our Zero & Beyond safety culture. You will also share expertise through training and leading others in the use of best practices, generate and evaluate the risk/reward priority of improvement opportunities, and advocate for Lean Sigma thinking.

You will achieve results and ensure sustainment of process controls (CTQ's & CTP's), lead and influence teams of diverse individuals at various levels within the organization, improve yield, efficiency, and capacity of processes in accordance with strategic business objectives, develop, document, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes and products using appropriate data and statistical tools.

You will also maintain presence on the shop floor and provide hands-on troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and equipment to drive root cause analysis and corrective action, maintain performance specifications and bills of material for all current products, and perform Lean Facilitator duties as required to implement and sustain lean initiatives throughout your area of responsibility.

You will be given the opportunity to pursue a LEAN SIGMA Greenbelt certification which is required during year 1 or 2.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in ME, EE, IE, CE, and MS, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the design, re-design, installation, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and equipment utilized in a continuous operation.

You must have a proven track record of results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, strong project management abilities, and the ability to use DOE and SPC techniques (Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt experience is a plus).

You should also be able to manage and execute multiple, complex tasks, deal easily with pressure on a daily basis, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with 2 years' wire & cable experience manufacturing of thermoplastic or thermoset conductors, and project management training or certification.
