Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular visual inspections of the store exterior and parking lot to identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Perform thorough walking inspections of the backroom and sales floor to detect and prevent internal theft.
  • Review cashier exception reports to identify suspicious activity and take appropriate action.
  • Conduct internal theft surveillance to gather evidence and build cases against perpetrators.
  • Review theft activity reports and follow up on leads to prevent future incidents.
  • Conduct shoplifting surveillance to deter and apprehend individuals attempting to steal from the store.
  • Report safety hazards to Store Leadership to ensure prompt attention and resolution.
  • Test and inspect camera equipment to ensure effective operation and gather evidence.
  • Review alarm system printer for suspicious activity and take action to prevent future incidents.
  • Participate in the apprehension of individuals attempting to steal from the store and assist in prosecution of external theft cases.
  • Prepare and submit detailed documentation and reports of incidents, including required documentation for litigation.
  • Testify in court proceedings as necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety practices, principles, guidelines, and policies.
  • Practice 200% safety accountability.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.
