GENERAL PURPOSE:
To perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks essential for the thorough cleaning and routine upkeep of county facilities.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Reports directly to the Building and Grounds Maintenance Manager.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
No supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Execute cleaning and maintenance tasks including vacuuming, floor maintenance, carpet care, and dusting.
• Monitor and manage custodial supplies, informing the supervisor of any shortages.
• Operate cleaning machinery such as power buffers and carpet extractors; prepare cleaning solutions as required.
• Oversee the work of community service personnel, ensuring quality and adherence to assignments.
• Conduct facility security checks, ensuring all systems are operational and managing access during work hours.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as lawn care, snow removal, and light maintenance duties.
• Assist with logistical arrangements for events, including setting up and moving furniture as needed.
• May assist with delivery and pick-up tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education and Experience:
A. Sufficient education and training to demonstrate capability in performing related duties;
B. Eighteen months of relevant experience;
C. An equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Familiarity with custodial procedures, tools, and safety practices.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment and follow instructions effectively.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks and develop working relationships with colleagues.

3. Special Qualifications:
• Must pass a background check.
• Valid driver's license required.

4. Work Environment:
• The role involves both indoor and outdoor physical activities, requiring various physical capabilities such as lifting and manual dexterity.
