The Health Resources in Action (HRiA) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Associate to support the Kaiser Permanente Center for Gun Violence Research and Education (KP Center).

The successful candidate will provide administrative assistance in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional support to the KP Center staff, including the Senior Director, Senior Grants Officer, and Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing public health approaches to violence and research that transforms systems across the country.

The Program Associate will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Center, including communications, scheduling, drafting, reviewing, and proofreading materials, arranging travel, ordering supplies, and curating resources for projects, stakeholder engagement, and staff development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative support, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

The KP Center is a fiscally sponsored project of Health Resources in Action, Inc., and this position will play a critical role in supporting the Center's mission to transform the gun violence research and education field.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support for the Center, including communications, scheduling, drafting, reviewing, and proofreading materials
  • Arranging travel, ordering supplies, and curating resources for projects, stakeholder engagement, and staff development
  • Supporting grants management by coordinating the grantee onboarding process, grant payments, and collection of grantee progress reports
  • Facilitating outreach to individual grantees
  • Providing technical and administrative support for both virtual and in-person convenings and events
  • Conducting general research on gun violence prevention, adult education, and related topics as assigned
  • Providing administrative support to the Data, Research, and Evaluation Division as needed
  • Participating in developing and supporting co-created spaces to meaningfully engage with the internal Center staff, stakeholders, and grantees

The successful candidate will have a high level of engagement and self-motivation, with a demonstrated ability to commit to and follow through on projects and strong organizational skills and accuracy.
