Key Responsibilities:
As a Taxation Strategy Director, your primary duties will include:
1. Managing and overseeing all aspects of tax planning and compliance, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
2. Offering strategic tax guidance to high net worth and ultra high net worth clients, aimed at optimizing their financial strategies.
3. Reviewing engagement documentation and tax returns for high net worth clients, including Estate, S-Corp, Gift, Trust, and Partnership returns.
4. Collaborating with the financial team to devise and implement tax strategies that align with overall business objectives.
5. Keeping abreast of the latest tax law changes and ensuring effective communication of these updates to the team and clients.
6. Leading and mentoring junior staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work culture.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Taxation Strategy Director position will possess:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on tax accounting, tax law, tax planning, and compliance.
3. Proven experience working with high net worth and ultra high net worth clients.
4. In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts for clients.
5. Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing junior team members.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of robust relationships with clients and colleagues.
