Neonatal Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and innovative Registered Nurse to join our team at Fauquier Health. As a Neonatal Resource Nurse, you will provide exceptional care to ICN level newborns and stable post-partum couplets, while maintaining a safe and patient-centered environment.
This role offers a unique blend of routine care for uncomplicated newborns and mothers, as well as attending deliveries, managing emergencies, transitions, and transfers. Responsibilities- Provide clinically appropriate patient care to individual or groups of patients in accordance with the philosophy and mission of the Department of Nursing, the organization, and the scope and standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA).
- Care for ICN level newborns and stable post-partum couplets, ensuring a safe and patient-centered environment.
- Attend deliveries, manage emergencies, transitions, and transfers, while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
- Current Virginia State RN License
- Basic Life Support BLS certification (may be obtained week of orientation)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (may be obtained during week of orientation)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification (new hires and new graduates have 6 months to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Women's Services (L&D, NICU, ICN)
