Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Simmons Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our refrigeration equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain refrigeration equipment, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Operate and maintain facility equipment, including pumps, valves, and piping systems
  • Collaborate with engineers and vendors to resolve equipment issues and improve system performance
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; refrigeration certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in refrigeration equipment repair and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in cramped, elevated, and wet areas.
