Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Corner Cafe. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, preparing delicious meals, and leading our kitchen staff to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas that showcase seasonal ingredients and meet customer expectations
  • Prepare and plate food to the highest standards, ensuring presentation and quality are consistently excellent
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to drive kitchen operations, increase revenue, and improve profit margins
  • Supervise and coordinate food preparation and presentation, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources
  • Provide training and leadership to kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and adhere to food safety regulations
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive culinary experience, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Certification from a reputable culinary school or equivalent experience
  • ServeSafe or Food Handlers Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
