Correctional Officer

This is a limited-term position located at Sierra Conservation Center in Pakenta, CA. The Correctional Officer will be responsible for the custody, supervision, security, health, and welfare of the inmate population, as well as the care of equipment and security coverage of the camp facility and boundaries.

• Conduct duties in a professional manner at all times, consistent with California Code of Regulation 3391, Employee Conduct.
• Supervise and manage the inmate population, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Provide security coverage of the camp facility and boundaries, including responding to emergencies and incidents.
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Must be a permanent, full-time Correctional Officer with completed Correctional Officer Apprenticeship Program.
• Must have a strong understanding of correctional procedures and protocols.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
