Nuclear Medicine Technologist I

Kaiser Permanente is in search of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I. This role is essential in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilizing safe and efficient methodologies, the technologist will:
1. Conduct diagnostic imaging studies as directed by a physician, employing advanced scanners or scintillation cameras to capture images of organs based on emitted radiation.
2. Prepare and manage radiopharmaceutical materials, ensuring accurate calculations and administration of doses.
3. Administer therapeutic doses under the direct oversight of a physician, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
4. Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment, adhering to radiation safety standards during the handling and disposal of radioactive substances.
Compliance and Ethics:
The technologist will uphold the principles of Corporate Compliance and Responsibility by:
- Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding organizational assets.
- Acting with integrity and reporting any observed discrepancies or misconduct.
- Complying with all relevant state, federal, and local regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification by the State of California is mandatory, with eligibility for registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Must possess a Nuclear Medical Technologist Certificate (California).
