Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Visiting various operational sites to assist in setting up technology infrastructure.
  • Installing essential equipment such as cable modems, printers, and workstations.
  • Implementing satellite internet solutions and troubleshooting local area networks (LAN).
Customer Service Excellence

A significant aspect of this role involves providing exceptional customer service. You will be the face of our technical support, ensuring that non-technical staff receive the assistance they need in a friendly and efficient manner.

Technical Support Duties

In addition to fieldwork, you will also support standard service desk operations, which include:

  • Troubleshooting software issues and internet connectivity problems.
  • Managing Active Directory and Office 365 environments.
  • Setting up and maintaining audio/visual equipment.
Contract Details

This position is offered on a contract basis, with a duration of 6-12 months.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up workstations and internet services.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting both hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and LAN troubleshooting.
  • Ability to set up audio/visual equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A reliable vehicle for travel to various sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with satellite internet installations, particularly StarLink, is a plus.
  • Experience providing high-level customer service.
Technical Environment

The role primarily involves working with:

  • 90% Windows systems
  • 10% Mac systems
