About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Liaison to join our team at the Helen Ross McNabb Center. As a Mental Health Liaison, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to children and families in Loudon and Union counties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct mental health services to children and families in schools and community settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to develop and implement individualized plans to support students' mental health needs.
  • Provide training and education to teachers and school staff on mental health topics and strategies for supporting students.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to ensure seamless referrals and services for clients.
  • Participate in IEP and other school-related meetings to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client services and progress.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards for services provided.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a human services field, such as counseling or social work.
  • At least two years of experience working with children and families, preferably in a school-based setting.
  • Experience leading groups and trainings, as well as providing individual and family counseling.
  • Knowledge of mental health theories, assessment, and treatment strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, families, and school staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and coordination.
  • Valid Tennessee driver's license and reliable transportation.
