Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Services Specialist to join our large Gastroenterology clinic in NE Portland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Schedule appointments for new and established patients in a timely and efficient manner
  • Obtain and complete insurance information, accurately updating patient records
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned, including occasional travel to our second location in Happy Valley
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of medical front office experience, preferably in a gastroenterology setting
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements, medical terminology, and office procedures
  • Excellent phone skills and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
