About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Three Rivers Behavioral Health. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and contributing to a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Perform or assist with the admission of new patients by gathering routine information for nursing assessment, searching patients and belongings for contraband, and documenting belongings and other appropriate information.
  • Orient the patient and patient's family to the facility and the policies and procedures.
  • Assist with leading daily unit-based groups.
  • Utilize patient activity schedules, unit rules, and group structures to maintain consistency in the milieu.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a related field (preferred)
  • Two (2) years of experience in healthcare or a behavioral health-related field (in lieu of Associates or Bachelor's degree)
