Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Middle School Teacher to join our team. As an EL Education school, we believe in creating classrooms where learning is challenging, active, meaningful, character-driven, and public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Math and Science daily in a self-contained 12:1:1 classroom
  • Differentiate instruction using co-teaching models to ensure all students achieve mastery of learning targets
  • Use data to inform instruction and drive student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and analyze data
  • Establish and maintain consistent classroom expectations and routines
  • Develop character by modeling and teaching our Habits of Heart and Mind
Requirements
  • Unwavering commitment to Equity, Launch's mission, and the Expeditionary Learning model
  • Exceptional ability to develop and maintain productive relationships
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience or related experience
  • Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education Grades 5-9 or K-12 required
