The Pro Shop Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the Pro Shop. This position involves welcoming guests, addressing inquiries about retail merchandise, and processing transactions for all items sold. The representative is also tasked with maintaining a well-organized and clean retail space, ensuring that the shopping experience is pleasant and efficient. Knowledge of product features and promotions is essential to effectively assist guests in making informed purchases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Punctually report for scheduled shifts.
  • Open and close the Pro Shop in accordance with established procedures.
  • Greet every guest warmly upon entry and exit.
  • Utilize computer systems efficiently for transactions and inventory management.
  • Manage the cash register and maintain an accurate cash drawer.
  • Respond to phone inquiries promptly, using guests' names to personalize interactions.
  • Maintain eye contact and engage with guests during conversations.
  • Address guest questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to all guest requests, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Keep the retail area clean, safe, and well-stocked at all times.
  • Work independently while remaining at designated posts for extended periods.
  • Foster a positive work environment through a friendly demeanor.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings regularly.
  • Report any maintenance issues to management promptly.
  • Assist in various Pro Shop operations as directed by management.
  • Communicate any guest-related incidents to management that require attention.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, adhering to company policies.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Pro Shop and related areas.
  • Participate in monthly inventory checks and be knowledgeable about merchandise.
  • Restock and maintain comfort stations on the golf course daily.
  • Design and manage retail displays effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in a retail environment, demonstrating efficiency and productivity.
  • Possess a friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills are required.
  • Strong communication and computer skills are essential.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively with others and being part of a team.
  • Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
