Exciting Opportunity for Senior RF Design Engineer

Leidos is seeking a talented Senior RF Design Engineer to support the RF Systems Branch in Huntsville, AL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in RF and electrical design for ground-breaking advanced RF systems that provide critical information to a wide range of customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radio frequency (RF) design, hardware builds, algorithm development, and analysis across a variety of both research and development and operational tasks.
  • Evaluate, select, integrate, and test commercial off the shelf (COTS) RF devices for forming complex RF transceiver systems.
  • Support the full product life cycle from concept through prototype to production.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent field with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent field with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of RF cascade analysis.
  • Strong technical communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Basic understanding of DSP concepts (match filtering, coherent integration, etc.).
  • Must have a U.S. citizenship and possess (as well as maintain) a Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly.
  • Candidate will live in Huntsville or be willing to relocate to Huntsville Alabama area.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity in any of the following tools is preferred but not required: C++ language (or other object-orientated language), experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Python and Unix.
